Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 –Welcome to Bhutan from NJP Station/ Bagdogra Aiport -> Phuentsholing

Meet & greet on arrival by our representative at NJP railway station/Bagdogra airport and drive to Indo – Bhutan
Border (Jaigaon-Phunsholing), on the way beautiful scenic of Tea Garden Estates. – Overnight hotel in Jaigaon.

Day 2 – Phuentsholing to Paro

After breakfast complete the immigration formalities and drive to Paro –The old capital of Bhutan via Gedu, which is
located about 9000 ft above the sea and view of Chukha Dam and stopover for photo session at Wankha
Waterfalls.On arrival at Paro check in hotel and evening free for local market, Overnight hotel stay in
Paro hotel.

Day 3 – Paro acclimatization ride (ride to Paro Taktsang base and hike to Taktsang)

After Breakfast, ride to Taktsang base then start to hike to Taktsang monastery. Paro taktsang also known as
tigers’ nest is a scared Vajrayana Himalayan Buddhist site located in the cliffside of the upper Paro
valley in Bhutan. After a lunch at Taktsang café, ride from the base camp to hotel and take the evening night out to
Paro town.

Day4 – Paro to Thimphu riding bicycle, total ride 60km

Riding to capital of Bhutan, on the way you will get to see beautiful mountains and Paro Chu(river), when you reach
Chunzom you also get to see Paro River and Thimphu River meeting together. The rote is very favorable for beginner
riders, on weekends lots of riders use this route to practice. On arrival at Thimphu, guest can visit:

The National Memorial Chorten: Built-in the memory of the third Druk Gyalpo (Head of Kingdom) of Bhutan,
the National Memorial Chorten is devoted to World Peace. The Chorten popular amongst the localities for various
major Buddhist religious festivals and it is one of the best places to see in Thimphu Bhutan.

Buddha Dordenma Statue – On the top of the hill in Thimphu, is a massive, golden Buddha sitting atop. Hidden
inside it has 125,000 smaller Buddhas. This means that in Thimphu, there are more Buddha statues than this city’s
population (100000), It is also known as Budda point.

The Motitang Takin Preserve – For animal lovers, Motithang Takin Preserve is one of the best places to visit in
Thimphu. This attractive preserved area was built as a small zoo but later it was converted into an animal preserve
center. Takin -The national animal of Bhutan, lives in the Motithang Takin Preserve in Thimphu.
The National Library It was established in the year 1967 and has famous collection of historic manuscripts, photos
and books.

Painting School – It is also known as Institute for Zorig Chusum here students are taught courses like traditional
drawing, Painting, carving and to develop skills in arts and crafts.

Bhutan Textile Museum – Bhutan Textile Museum offers amazing display of Bhutanese dresses and textiles; it
gives a clear picture of Bhutan history in terms of textile and traditional clothing.

Day 5–Thimphu –> Punakha, total ride 65 km

Ride to Dochula Pass, Thimphu to Dochula is 18 km with Gentle climb and its It is located between Thimphu and
Punkaha which is around 3100 m high, here you can see scenic view of the Eastern Himalayan. In Dochula Pass 108
stupas are build and in winters it is fully covered with snow which makes it very beautiful place. After a quick tea
break, we head towards Punakha which is fully downhill ride till lunch point. After lunch visit to Chimmi Lhakhang
(FERTILITY TEMPLE) and ride to hotel for rest and prepare your body for next day. overnight stay in Punakha
hotel.

Day 6 – Punakha – Phobjikha Valley

After breakfast, drive to lawa la on the way lunch at Nubding and on Reaching lawa la, ride down to Phobjekha
Valley which is located at altitude of 3000 meters above the sea level, here you will get rare endangered Black Necked
Cranes, Autumn and winter are the best time to visit this place. Overnight hotel in Phobjekha.

Day 7 –sightseeing in Phobjekha

After breakfast, ride to Gangteng monastery at hill top where you can see the panorama view of whole Phobjekha
valley, after a few rides session we head towards Thimphu (capital city of Bhutan).

Day 8–Thimpu – Phuentsholing

After breakfast start from Thimphu to phuentsholing via gedu and night stay at jaigaon.

Day 09– Depature

After early breakfast, drive to NJP station/Baggodra airport with a sweet memories of Bhutan travels

Restricted Area Permit is required to visit Punakha / Wangdue from Home Ministry of Bhutan Please bring 02 passport size photographs and Voter ID card or Passport of each person including child. This special permit is given only after guest has entered Thimphu. 

Documents required for Bhutan Immigration is Voter id/Passport along with 2 copies of passport photograph

  • Children below 18 years can carry with birth Certificate ORGINAL.
  • Bhutan Immigration office remains opened from 8:30 A.M to 5:30 P.M From Monday to Friday
  • Hotels are very strict with the child policy. Please carry the age proof so that it can be produced if asked by hotel.
  • A valid photo ID proof for all guests staying at the hotel is mandatory.
  • For Extra adult in the room, we will provide an extra bed (wherever possible), but most of the hotels only provide extra mattress or roll out bed. Most of the hotels have no provision of an extra bed.
  • The above-mentioned hotels will be confirmed as per the room availability. Otherwise, similar category hotel will be provided.
